About the campaign

Globus was opening a Beauty Studio and needed it understood as a destination rather than a department. The target was Gen Z, an audience that can buy the same beauty products on a phone at any hour, so the campaign's real task was to justify the journey to a specific physical store. Branding the space the Glow Zone gave it a name to be talked about, but a name alone does not move anyone across a city.

Kingfluencers built the campaign around things that could only happen in the room. Twelve influencers covered live demonstrations, meet and greets, behind-the-scenes access, and in-store activities and giveaways, publishing 54 posts on Instagram and TikTok across two separate month-long campaigns, with the activity extending into newsletters as well as social. The Lausanne meet and greet did something more specific than reach: it brought creators' own followers into the store, converting an audience that existed online into people standing in the space.

Splitting the work into two one-month campaigns rather than one continuous run gave the studio a second opening moment, which matters for a destination that has to be rediscovered rather than launched once. Two creators independently pointed to the local framing, including revisiting familiar Lausanne landmarks, as the reason the content felt like theirs.

Kingfluencers reports more than 2.4M impressions, more than 1.3M reach and 41K engagements from 54 posts by 12 influencers. The plus signs on the reach and impression figures are not explained. No footfall, appointment or sales data is given for the Beauty Studio itself, which is the outcome the campaign existed to produce, and all figures are self-reported.

Strategy Breakdown

The primary strategy-learning section — interpretation, not a press-release summary.

Swiss Gen Z beauty and skincare buyers who research and purchase on a phone and rarely need to enter a department store to do either.
Physical retail has to earn a trip that online shopping has made optional, especially in a category where the product range is identical either way.
Beauty retail space is easy to describe and hard to make interesting, because a description of a store is not a reason to visit it.
Globus positioned itself as a local lifestyle curator rather than a stockist, with the Glow Zone as a place to be in rather than a counter to buy from.
People travel for access, not for assortment. A meet and greet, a live demonstration or a limited in-store activity gives a specific reason to be there at a specific time.

Why Kingfluencers's strategy worked

  1. 1

Building the campaign around access that only exists in the room, demonstrations, meet and greets and behind-the-scenes, gives a physical store the one thing a phone cannot supply.

  2. 2

Splitting the work into two one-month campaigns gave the studio a second opening moment, which matters for a destination that has to be rediscovered rather than launched once.

  3. 3

Naming the space the Glow Zone gave the audience something to refer to, though the name only carried because there were events attached to it.

  4. 4

Local framing did the persuading. Two creators independently pointed to revisiting familiar Lausanne landmarks as the reason the content felt like theirs.
