About the campaign
Viacom needed the Blue's Clues 25th anniversary to register with millennial parents and translate into visibility and recall for themed merchandise stocked at Target, Walmart and Amazon. Kids' TV anniversaries are easy to celebrate and hard to monetise, but the adults who control household spending grew up watching the show, so HireInfluence built the idea on a nostalgia handover: the anniversary celebrated by parents together with their own children rather than marketed at kids directly.
The activation partnered with 10 family and parent influencers on TikTok and Instagram who staged home parties with blue balloons, decorations and retailer-bought merchandise, set to the I'm Blue parody song, passing a childhood favourite to their own kids on camera and pointing audiences to Target, Walmart and Amazon.
Casting creators whose own childhood matched the brand story made the nostalgia native rather than manufactured, aiming a kids' property at parents targeted the people who actually spend, and a party built from store-bought items gave audiences a copyable, shoppable template. Content ran on TikTok and Instagram, and HireInfluence reports 6.1M impressions, 4.5M reach and 5.4M video views across the 10 creators. All figures are self-reported and the only third-party listing repeats the agency's copy verbatim; no engagement rates, sales or retail data are public and exact flight dates are not disclosed.
