Beats by Dre Holiday House: the Beats Holiday Party takeover of Stormzy's House Party
PR & CommunicationsPitch turned all seven floors of Stormzy's House Party venue in Soho into a Beats Holiday Party to win media and influencer attention at Christmas.
About the campaign
Christmas is a notoriously competitive window for coverage, and Beats by Dre needed an event that would genuinely engage media and influencers rather than another routine seasonal pitch. Every brand wants coverage at once, so press and creators are flooded with near-identical festive pitches and reward only the events that feel culturally alive. Pitch Marketing Group, retained as Beats' PR and influencer agency since 2016, worked from the insight that media and influencers at Christmas are hunting for creative experiences to inspire their own content, so the event had to feed their needs, not just the brand's.
The agency took over all seven floors of Stormzy's immersive House Party venue in Soho, a location with existing cultural heat, and turned it into the Beats Holiday Party. It filled the floors with participatory stations: tooth gem artists, hair stylists and make-up artists in a Kim Kardashian inspired bathroom, bespoke t-shirt printing and an iPhone case customisation station, giving guests things to make and share on site.
Solving the press's shortage of fresh festive content is a stronger invitation than pitching the brand's own news, and borrowing a venue with cultural heat did persuasive work before the pitch began. The agency reports 145 influencers, 101 social posts, 11.5M estimated social reach and 808.1K estimated impressions. Everything comes from Pitch's own case page with no independent corroboration; no event date is disclosed, and the learnings are interpretation of a self-reported narrative rather than verified effectiveness findings.

Why Pitch Marketing Group's strategy worked
- 1
Solving the press's problem, a shortage of fresh festive content, is a stronger invitation than pitching the brand's own news in a crowded window.
- 2
Borrowing a venue with existing cultural heat, here Stormzy's House Party, does persuasive work before the brand pitch begins.
- 3
Participatory stations such as styling and product customisation turn guests into content producers rather than passive attendees.
- 4
A long-term retainer relationship (since 2016) lets an agency spend equity on a higher-risk cultural play rather than a safe seasonal showcase.
