Gordon Glenister has spent more than 25 years helping brands and professionals harness the power of influence. After an early career in sales and promotional marketing he became director general of a trade association for 11 years, where he honed his expertise in community building. In 2018 he launched the UK Association for Influencer Marketing within the Branded Content Marketing Association, creating standards and a network for the growing industry. He wrote the award‑winning book 'Influencer Marketing Strategy' and hosts multiple podcasts including Influence and Growing Your Influence Online, which spotlight trends, success stories and legal considerations. Through his consultancy he advises businesses on influencer and membership strategies and runs the Membership World community for association professionals. Beyond marketing, he’s a qualified tree surgeon and once ran a garden design company; he lives in Cambridge with his three sons and enjoys badminton.
