Rebecca ‘Beckii’ Flint has lived many creative lives before becoming a marketing executive. As a shy 14‑year‑old in the Isle of Man, she uploaded a dance cover of a Japanese pop song to YouTube and watched as it went viral across Japan, transforming her into the unlikely idol known as Beckii Cruel. She spent her mid‑teens juggling schoolwork with television appearances, photo shoots and concerts in Tokyo, all while navigating the cultural gulf between her British upbringing and her Japanese fanbase. Ultimately she chose to leave the idol industry and return home, parlaying her experience into a career as a digital creator focused on fashion and lifestyle.
In 2019 Beckii co‑founded Pepper Studio, a boutique influencer marketing agency that combines her first‑hand creator experience with strategic campaign design. The agency quickly became known for its human‑centric approach: prioritising fair pay, mental health and creative control for influencers while delivering measurable results for brands. Beckii has testified before committees in the House of Lords and House of Commons on influencer culture and digital regulation, and she frequently appears on the BBC to discuss social media trends. Her unique journey from viral teen idol to agency founder allows her to translate the needs of creators to marketers; she believes the next era of influencer marketing will be defined by empathy, education and long‑term partnerships.

The Future Leaders Council is a collective of junior board members focussing on building mindshare, innovative fundraising, and providing insight.

As the company grew, from when I first joined in 2016 (a team of just 3, including myself) to being a part of a dedicated in-house team of native digital Creators, I found myself enjoying the responsibility of Content within the team.
